Thank you for considering Mr Gay Ireland. We are an all- island visibility event now in its tenth year. Mr Gay Ireland is held throughout the country and is entirely voluntary led.
Each contestant represents their county, venue or community group and one of their key civic tasks is to raise much needed funds for the ‘New Fill HIV facial restoration service’ at the Guide Clinic in St James’ Hospital, Dublin. 100% of funds raised go directly to the clinic and in the past 9 years we have donated 145,000 euros to HIV and gay causes.
Because we give every cent raised away, we need your support to reward the 20 finalists for their fundraising, to support them at the weekend final in Dublin and to facilitate the winners participation in international ‘Mr Gay’ events, where Ireland is the only country in the world to have won both the Mr Gay Europe and Gay World titles.
Cash sponsorship is promoted on our busy Facebook page, Twitter, on our website www.mrgayireland.ie which hosts a free webvote and via our booking site www.gaytheatre.ie. Prize donors , menswear, weekends away, products etc, will also have their logo on our website and of course all sponsorship is acknowledged on our website and during the Grand Final. We are open to promotional opportunities too.
Celebrity endorsements for our good work are many including singer Brian Kennedy and Ryan Sheridan, comedian Dustin all who have performed at finals, hosted by Laura Whitmore, Brendan Courtney and Darren Kennedy, to name a few. Judges include Miss Ireland, the associate Editor of the Irish Independent ,Bairbre Power and Peter Mark’s Michael Doyle.
Our young contestants are very brave, especially those from small rural communities and ingenious in their HIV fundraising and safe sex messages. It is a great cause and we all really do appreciate those who support our efforts to promote the positive Irish gay identity at home and abroad as we fund this important medical service.
I do hope we can count on your support in this our tenth year and will happily welcome and discuss all levels of support and sponsorship with you,
Founder, Mr Gay Ireland/Northern Ireland since 2004
